Strikeforce Heavyweight Grand Prix Returns Tonight!

The Strikeforce Heavyweight Grand Prix returns to action tonight with some local fighters in action. Brett Rogers will be facing Josh Barnett in a tourney quarterfinal. Also, Jeff Monson, born in St. Paul, faces Daniel Cormier.

The event will be highlighted by the return of Strikeforce Heavyweight Champion, Alistair Overeem, who will face BJJ ace Fabricio Werdum.

Fans can watch the Strikeforce undercard at 7 PM live on HDNet. The main card will be broadcast live on Showtime beginning at 9 PM.

The fightcard of the upcoming event XKL: Evolution II-Mayhem in Minneapolis is nearly complete with the recent announcement of the main event.  Veterans Jeff Monson (33-9) and Travis Wiuff (58-14) will face each other on the April 24 show at the Target Center.
