The fightcard of the upcoming event XKL: Evolution II-Mayhem in Minneapolis is nearly complete with the recent announcement of the main event.  Veterans Jeff Monson (33-9) and Travis Wiuff (58-14) will face each other on the April 24 show at the Target Center.

Both Monson and Wiuff have fought all around the world, including promotions Pride, UFC, Dream, and SRC.

CFX Teams With XKL For April Event At Target Center

Brock Larson and CFX have teamed up with Xtreme Kombat League and will be co-promoting the upcoming April 24 in Minneapolis.

XKL Evolution II "Mayhem" will be held at Target Center.  Fighters scheduled to compete are: Brock Larson, Dave Menne, Ray Steinbeiss, Nate Schut, and Shana Olsen.

XKL will hold their first MMA event on March 20 on the campus of Eastern Michigan University. The show will be headlined by a heavyweight bout between Jeff Monson and Scott Barrett.

Minnesotan Charlie Lynch To Appear on The Ultimate Fighter

Spike TV and the UFC officially announced the cast for Season 11 of The Ultimate Fighter today.  28 fighters will compete to decide who will be one of the 14 contestants in TUF house.

The new season, which was recently taped in Las Vegas, will begin airing on SpikeTV on Wednesday, March 31 at 9 PM (CT).

One fighter who calls Minnesota home, Charlie Lynch, will be a contestant on TUF 11.  Lynch, who is from Mound, has an undefeated record of 6-0 with 3 KO's and 3 by submission.  A pro since June of 2008, Lynch has defeated his last three opponents by submission.  Training with Dave Menne at World Taekwondo Academy in Maple Grove, Lynch is a member of Team Northway MMA.

Menne wins at Bellator FC

Former UFC Middleweight Champion Dave Menne returned to the cage on April 17 competing in the Bellator Fighting Championships Welterweight Tournament.  His opponent was American Top Team fighter Norman Paraisy (5-0).

A close fight early on Menne eventually took control of the fight on the ground.  The fight finally came to an end at 2:39 of the third round via submission by rear naked choke.

Menne improved his record to 43-15-2.  He will next fight Omar de la Cruz (4-1) in the tournament semifinals on May 15 in Chicago.
