Lang victorious at Adrenaline 4

Welterweight Jeremy "The Landlord" Lang traveled to the Mid-America Center in Council Bluffs (Iowa) on Friday night to battle Matt Delanoit, a middleweight.  The fighters agreed to meet at a catch-weight of 175 and Lang proved to be too much, winning an easy decision despite a crazy scorecard from one of the judges.

The fight was shown live on HDNet as part of the Adrenaline 4 event promoted by Monte Cox.  Former heavyweight champion Tim Sylvia headlined the show.

An assistant wrestling coach at St. Cloud State, Lang (16-1) took control of the fight with an early takedown and gained mount position.  Delanoit was helpless to avoid the takedown the entire 15 minutes and used some sweeping striking technique against Lang, but posed no real threat the entire fight.

Two official judges scored the bout 30-27 for Lang.  A third judge somehow managed to score the bout 29-28 for Delanoit, a local fighter from Omaha, despite being unable to stay off his back and swinging wild strikes that sometimes connected, but never hurt Lang.  This judge may have been sitting next to HDNet Fights commentator Guy Mezger, who somehow thought Delanoit won two rounds as well.
