Wiuff loses in Japan

Light heavyweight veteran Travis Wiuff was stopped early in the third round of his fight against Stanislav Nedkov in a bout broadcast live from Sengoku 8 on HDNet.

Despite several low blow fouls against the Bulgarian Nedkov (including two red cards in the first round) Wiuff continued to fight on and easily was ahead on the scorecard going into the final round.  A powerful right straight by Nedkov dropped Wiuff and was followed by ground-and-pound before the referee stopped the bout at 0:42 of the third.

The loss (his second in a row) dropped the record of Wiuff to 54-13.  In his last fight, Wiuff was stopped by "King Mo" Lawlal at Sengoku 5 in September of 2008.  Nedkov improved to 6-0.
