Frank Mir defeated UFC Interim Heavyweight Champion Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira at UFC 92 tonight by second round TKO. The victory sets up a rematch with current UFC Heavyweight Champion Brock Lesnar.
Lesnar (3-1) faced the former champion Mir (12-3) at UFC 81 in February of 2008 in just his second career MMA fight and UFC debut. After dominating the first minute of the fight, Mir caught Lesnar in a knee bar to force a submission at 1:30 of the first round. Lesnar went on to defeat Heath Herring (28-14) in his second UFC fight and earned a title fight against UFC Hall of Fame champion Randy Couture. Lesnar defeated Couture (16-9) by second round TKO to become UFC Heavyweight Champion.
