(Elko, MN) - It will be no-holds barred action on Friday night, June 27, as Elko Speedway and Champions Entertainment Centre will play host to a full night of ultimate fighting known as Cage Combat. The night will feature the first round of a four-man bantam weight tournament that will conclude on Friday, August 1.
The featured fighters for the tournament include New Richmond, Wisconsin’s Zach Wolfe (15-4 record), known as one of the top fighters out of the Devil’s Den; Kent Nathe (8-2) from Sartell; undefeated Lloyd McKinney (5-0) from La Crosse, WI and area pro Jared Chaney from Rochester. These four will be pounding it out in the 135 pound weight class featuring high powered and fast paced excitement.
The night will also feature a revenge match with Farmington’s Colby Vogt meeting up for a second time with Northfield’s Nick Almen. Almen handed Vogt his first loss in a slugfest battle a year ago.
And Cage Combat wouldn’t be complete without the caged up females! Unbeaten Sara Wilson will be making the trip to Elko from Ames, Iowa to take on another unbeaten, Katie Vogel from Minneapolis.
Other local fighters expected to take part on June 27 include Rob DeGroot from Dennison, Burnsville’s Mike Richman, Zack Strand from Owatonna and Cheat Tek of Rosemount.
